Quicken Loans Invites Everyone to Join the Fun at GM River Days in Downtown Detroit; Meet Xeko, Fathead and Guffly

-2nd annual event showcases new RiverWalk, promises fun for the whole family-

Livonia, Mich. – June 19, 2008 – Quicken Loans will sponsor the second annual GM River Days to be held June 20 – June 23, showcasing the newly renovated Detroit RiverWalk (www.detroitriverdays.com).

The 2nd annual River Days festival introduces hundreds of thousands to the newest community space along the scenic Detroit River and the wide array of fun family-friendly summer activities, including numerous free public events.

“River Days truly is the big summer event in Southeast Michigan and is guaranteed to bring out the kid in all of us,” said Elizabeth Jones, Vice President of Communications for Quicken Loans. “We invite folks visiting River Days to take a break by relaxing inside the Quicken Loans Cooling Station located in the GM Wintergarden. The area is free, and features a comfortable seating area, the environmental exhibits of Pure Michigan Green Days and the Shops of the GM Wintergarden.”

Three organizations within the Quicken Loans family of companies will be on hand at River Days to introduce their products to Detroiters:

Xeko, the award-winning eco-adventure game starring the wild animals of Earth’s endangered habitats will be in the Green Area of the Quicken Loans Cooling Station to unveil its new line of collectible game cards.

Xeko entertains kids while teaching them about animals, the environment, and taking them on a journey to some of the most remarkable places on the planet. Xeko (www.xeko.com) also stimulates kids’ interest in math, science and nature by combining two things they love: collectable trading card games and animals. Xeko donates 4% of net game sales to Conservation International, which is working to save the planet’s conservation hotspots.

Also in the Green Area of the Quicken Loans Cooling Station will be Guffly.com, a Detroit-based Internet company soon to be launched by two students of Detroit’s Bizdom U entrepreneurship academy. Guffly’s “good stuff for good living” provides tips for eco-friendly living and will soon offer stylish and fun “green” lifestyle items through their online store each day. To learn how you can live more earth-friendly, visit www.guffly.com.

How do you measure up to your favorite sports star? In the Detroit Pistons Hoops Area, Fathead, maker of life-size wall graphics of popular sports stars, will be on hand to display its latest Pistons Fatheads, including Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton.

In addition to NBA stars, Fathead’s product line includes MLB stars, including Tiger’s catcher Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez; NFL and Lions stars, as well as pro and college team helmets and logos, NASCAR race cars and Hollywood entertainment characters, including Hannah Montana.

The Livonia-based company recently launched the first-ever championship trophy wall graphic, The Stanley Cup. Lord Stanley’s coveted trophy and Red Wings star and Stanley Cup Finals MVP, Henrik Zetterberg, and all the other FATHEADS, are available online at www.fathead.com.

The four day celebration on the riverfront will feature a variety of free family-friendly entertainment including GM Cool Events, DTE Energy Boat Parade of Lights, Ultimate Air Dogs, carnival rides, and live music by dozens of local and international artists. A smorgasbord of Detroit restaurants and eateries also will be on hand with their culinary offerings. The grand finale will be Monday night, June 23, with the 50th annual Target Fireworks, a traditional highlight of summer in Detroit.
