Market Update: Home Prices Increase 0.2% in July

This morning’s Case-Shiller House Price Index for July reported that home prices rose 0.2 percent month-over-month on a seasonally adjusted basis, and rose 6.7 percent year-over-year. Quicken Loans vice president Bill Banfield offers the following comments on the report:

“Slow but steady is this year’s theme when it comes to home price increases. Unless we see a significant change in the economy, I don’t see this changing in the near future.”
