This morning’s Case-Shiller National Home Price Index for October reported that home prices dropped 0.2 percent month-over-month, and rose 4.6 percent year-over-year. Quicken Loans vice president Bill Banfield offers the following comments on the report:
“Home prices in October continued to cool as the leaves changed, nearly flat on a monthly basis. Yearly increases are still slowing at a manageable 4.6% growth, much heathier and more sustainable than the double-digit increases we had seen in years past.”
