Market update: Case-Shiller shows monthly home prices up 0.5% in February

U.S. home prices rose 0.5 percent in February, according to the S&P/Case-Shiller index. Quicken Loans Vice President Bill Banfield offers the following comments on the report:

Home prices are continuing the familiar narrative – showing modest annual gains and slow, healthy, monthly increases. Employment remains one of the most watched issues impacting the housing market as there are concerns of price increases outpacing wage growth.
