– Nation’s leading FinTech mortgage lender ranks in the top-30 of distinguished list for the 14th consecutive year –

DETROIT, March 9, 2017 – Detroit-based Quicken Loans, the nation’s second largest retail mortgage lender, was today named America’s 10th best place to work in FORTUNE Magazine’s annual ranking of the “100 Best Companies to Work For.” This marks the 14th straight year the company has ranked in the top-30 of FORTUNE’s workplace study.

Quicken Loans’ unique and collaborative culture is the backbone of its perennial recognition among the best workplaces in America. The company continually delivers on its promise to reject the typical bureaucratic corporate model in everything it does, instead fostering an environment that empowers and gives voice to each of its 16,000+ team members.

“We are completely fanatical about creating an atmosphere that allows our team members to thrive, challenge assumptions and innovate. Our team members know we value their opinions, which creates passion and a sense of ownership in our business,” said Quicken Loans Chief Executive Officer Jay Farner. “It’s an honor to work alongside this incredible group. Our team believes in, and follows through with, a unified mission of making life radically simple for our clients through innovative technologies and world-class client service.”

Quicken Loans’ release of Rocket Mortgage is a prime example of how a strong culture can lead to business success. Rocket Mortgage, which was developed completely in-house over several years, funded $7 billion of Quicken Loans’ record $96 billion in total closed loan volume in 2016. In just the 11 months following the public’s introduction to Rocket Mortgage via a national Super Bowl commercial, Rocket Mortgage would already rank as a top-30 mortgage lender, by volume, among the nation’s nearly 50,000 mortgage lending entities.

Additionally, the company’s perpetual focus on its client experience continues to drive results. In 2016, Quicken Loans was named “Highest in Customer Satisfaction for Primary Mortgage Origination” in the United States by J.D. Power for the 7th consecutive year. Quicken Loans was also ranked #1 by J.D. Power for mortgage servicing over the past three consecutive years.

“Every day, our team members dig deep to find new ways to challenge the status quo, whether it’s transforming the way consumers get a mortgage or rolling up their sleeves to help rebuild Detroit into one of the nation’s largest FinTech ecosystems,” said Quicken Loans Founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert. “The speed of the game continues to get faster. Our team members understand that they must channel their grit, determination and curiosity to stay ahead and execute on our mission.”

According to FORTUNE’s survey, Quicken Loans team members rated the company’s work atmosphere at 98 percent. Additionally, 97 percent of team members feel good about the ways the company contributes to the community.

FORTUNE Magazine partners with the Great Place to Work Institute to develop a comprehensive team member survey to identify the 100 Best Companies to Work For. Companies are measured and ranked through the analysis of the results of a Trust Index© survey and Culture Audit© questionnaire. Through the survey, employees anonymously assess their workplace, including the honesty and quality of communication by managers, degree of support for employees’ personal and professional lives and the authenticity of relationships with colleagues. The questionnaire includes detailed questions about benefits, programs and practices.
